At St. Luke's we acknowledge and honour the many from our parish who sacrificed their lives in times of war. This year we would like to create a net of poppies (made by parishioners and volunteers) to be proudly displayed on the outside of the church this Remembrance Day, and in future years. Should you need more information, or instruction (in person or on Zoom) to create poppies, please let us know so that arrangements can be made.
If you are shut in and need to have materials dropped off or picked up, email or call the organizers who will make sure your needs are met.
Poppy Project Organizers are:
Sandra Ballum 403-346-3045 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Debb Mann 403-350-4798 or email@example.com
Of course, if you do not knit or crochet, donations of the approved yarns, or $ in kind, will also be gratefully appreciated. Donations can be made by etransfer using firstname.lastname@example.org and putting Poppy Project in the message line.
Completed poppies will be accepted until September 30, 2022
